Victorian Companies Show Their Metal
Victorian company Metaltec Precision International has successfully completed its $5.5 million component manufacturing contract for Australia’s Synchrotron machine. This was the largest synchrotron component contract so far awarded to a Victorian supplier.
Metaltec was nominated as a supplier by Industry Capability Network Victoria, a non profit organisation that links global buyers with Victorian suppliers. ICN consultant Jim Barraza said “Metaltec’s contract was completed on time and on budget. The Synchrotron is due to open in early 2007 and the project is being delivered faster than any comparable synchrotron facility.”
ICN invites Victorian suppliers to register on its website at www.icnvic.org.au.
ICN also hosts regular events to promote business opportunities to Victorian companies including its bi-annual Major Projects Forum, to be held on June 23 at the Melbourne Convention Centre. This forum features presentations by key contacts from Victorian major projects. See www.icnvic.org.au for more information.
ICN Victoria is an independent organisation funded by the Victorian State Government. The service is impartial and confidential. There is a Melbourne office and regional offices in Bendigo, Traralgon and Geelong.
